Composite Systems, Inc. (CSI) has been a systems integrator of industrial robotics since 1997, providing consulting, design and engineering services to industry. Our systems and services extend to the aerospace, appliance, automotive, composites, industrial, wind energy systems and marine industries worldwide. These systems have included processes such as welding, cutting, drilling, machining, material handling, packaging and palletizing and composite layup. Our “turn-key” solutions include process concept and development, selection and integration of all equipment, facilities layout, manufacturing, installation, training and support. All our systems are protected under a "proprietary" and "non-disclosure" agreements protecting our customers' "process and intellectual properties".

Composite Systems, Inc. manufactures a complete line of modular “balanced” gantry robots that are equipped with off-line programming software and offer up to 27 axis of control within the work envelope. The gantry systems are unique in that they support inverted, 6-axis articulated robots with payloads for 'end-of-arm tooling' to 500kg. A line of robot tracks and multi-axis positioners are also available. Additionally, CSI manufactures a patented line of modular and flexible "PFE" (TM) endeffector devices for robots that provide for the automated layup of composite fabrics and prepreg materials from roll widths in excess of 60.00" (1524). In concert with these devices,, special 'end-of-arm' tooling can be provided to handle and place a variety of cores and 'imbeds' that may be used in a given layup. Composite Systems, Inc. manufactures a unique system called 'Cylinder Cell' that allows for the layup of composite materials within or about a mold or plug employing a variant of the PFE technology, 'Linear PFE'.
