Auger wear shoes

Kenco Auger Shoes bolt over base auger flights, virtually eliminating wear to the base auger. Should the Auger Shoes ever wear out, simply remove them and bolt on new shoes. Kenco Shaft Shields fit over the auger tube to protect it from abrasive wear. They are installed by plug welding and can be torch cut, if necessary.

Features and Benefits:
---------------------
Replace worn auger shoes only, not the entire auger
Auger shoes are cast standard to 550 Brinell, optionally to 700 Brinell
Bolt-on style auger shoes offer easy replacement
Shaft shields are formed and heat treated to hardness in excess of 60 Rockwell C
Available for most popular diameter and pitch augers

Can a worn auger be rebuilt using Kenco Auger Shoes?
---------------------------------------------------
If most of the original diameter still remains, an auger can be rebuilt by bolting on Kenco Auger Shoes. However, it is preferable to immediately protect a new base auger with Kenco Auger Shoes and Shaft Shields. This may allow the base auger to last for the entire service life of the plant or machinery in which it operates.

What options does Kenco offer for complete augers?
-------------------------------------------------
For moderate abrasion applications, use Kenco Wear Resistant Augers
For heavy abrasion applications, use a steel auger with Kenco Auger Shoes
For extreme service applications, use Kenco Modular Augers

Poly Auger Wear Shoes
---------------------
Auger Wear Shoes made of pre-formed UHMW are designed to extend the life of the steel auger by covering new or worn steel auger flighting giving it strength and avoiding wear. There are over 135 sizes available. The wear shoes are available in different diameters, pitches and thickness (most common 3/8") to fit most common augers.

Applications include:
Combines, grain carts, transport augers, bins and grain handling systems...wherever there is high volume and wear is a problem.

What we need to know to fit your auger:
--------------------------------------
What is the diameter of the pipe?
What is the width of the flighting?
What is the length of the pitch?
Does the length of the pitch change?
Is it a Right Hand or Left Hand auger?

Description Price per pitch
---------- ---------------
4" Diameter $21.50
5" Diameter $24.00
6" Diameter $26.75
7" Diameter $29.50

Lundell Plastic Introduces UHMW Wear Shoes for Augers
Lundell Plastics announces a new product to extend the life of steel augers: UHMW wear shoes.

UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) is the plastic of choice in industrial and agricultural applications where abrasion resistance is required.

Lundell Plastics has developed a process to pre-form UHMW to fit onto new or worn steel auger flighting, thus extending the life of the auger.

Some applications would be combines, grain carts, transport augers, bins and grain handling systems, wherever there is high volume and wear is a problem.

The wear shoes will be available in different diameters, pitches and thickness to fit most common augers.

Each individual shoe will cover one pitch (revolution) of the auger.

They are pre-formed and pre-drilled for one easy installation.

They join together using a patented bevel lap joint and are bolted to the auger with special UHMW-capped bolt which is counter sunk for a continuous smooth surface.

For more information, call Vance Lundell at 877-367-7659.
