Various Plastic Extrusion Feed Screws

Feedscrews

The critical component of any extruder is the feedscrew. If perfectly matched to your process, the result is optimum output and a quality product. Davis-Standard stays on the leading edge of screw technology with one of the most advanced design and manufacturing facilities in the world.

All Davis-Standard feedscrews are designed and manufactured right on the premises. Designs are based on individual customer extrusion parameters encompassing output rate, melt temperature, output consistency of extruder stability, melt homogeneity, melt quality, and power requirements.

Single Screws

Sizes range from 3/4-inch (20mm) to 12-inches (305mm) in diameter with virtually any L/D and can be designed to fit any manufacturer's extruders. The company has feedscrew designs to match the most unique process and compounds including their patented
DSBM-T TM barrier feedscrew.

Conical and Parallel Twin Screws

Utilized in the processing of RPVC, Davis-Standard's conical twin screws and parallel twin screws are manufactured for use in the company's "GC" conical twin screw extruders and "GP" parallel series accordingly. Each set of screws are designed to provide stable melt temperature at the highest possible rates.

Segmented Screws and Barrels

Davis-Standard manufactures and designs D-TEX twin screw compounding segmented screws and barrels. These D-TEX screws are composed of individual elements which slide onto a driving shaft. Screw elements are designed with either 2 or 3 flights. Barrel sections are customized for top feeding, venting, downstream side feeding, or straight section without openings.
