The Peter Pugger-Mixers

The Peter Pugger-Mixers: PM-50, PM-100 & PM-60
These units are really mixers that unload by pushing the clay through a reduced nozzle in the form of a pug. They do not de-air. They do, however, offer an easy and convenient way to mix moist clay from powder and water • reclaim scrap, wet or dry • blend two or more different clay bodies • add materials (wet or dry) to an already moist body • adjust moisture in an already mixed clay. Clay and materials are loaded into the large hopper and set to “mix” until blended. The machine is then stopped and switched to “pug.” The motor reverses the mixing paddles and forces the clay to the auger and nozzle for pugging. Continuous feeding is not necessary. Not having to “pull” clay from the mixer and block it for storage is a real plus.

Both the mixing and pugging chambers are aluminum; the augers, paddles and shaft are stainless steel. Both units disassemble for easy, thorough cleaning.
