GABLER - GUM PROCESSING LINES, EXTRUDERS

GABLER - GUM PROCESSING LINES, EXTRUDERS, COOLING AND FORMING EQUIPMENT

WLS Gabler specialises in the design and manufacture of processing equipment for the food, confectionery, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Our product range includes single screw extruders, twin screw extruders (co-rotating and counter-rotating), melt extruders, continuous mixers, rolling and scoring machines, cooling tunnels and spheronizers. These are available individually or as part of complete processing lines, from mixing to packing.

This equipment is used for mixing and forming high-viscous masses such as chewing gum, bubble gum, tab gum, chewy candy and toffee, as well as pharmaceutical pellets made of tablet powder or wax, and chemical products such as modeling clay or liquid soap.

As partners to the confectionery and pharmaceutical industry, Gabler offers a wide range of solutions, from complete lines of basic processing machinery to state-of-the-art integrated systems. We have more than 40 years of experience, gained from hundreds of proven installations around the world. The key to this success results from working closely with our customers in developing and constantly improving our equipment.

EXTRUDING, FORMING AND STACKING LINES FOR CHEWING GUM

Gabler produces a range of chewing gum production lines for the forming and stacking of scored chewing gum sheets made of raw gum mass from a mixer. Depending on the model, sheets from 150mm by 460mm to 460mm by 460mm can be produced and processed at speeds of up to 4,200kg/hr.

Our chewing gum production lines consists of, at the very least, a KM series extruder and a rolling and scoring machine. Feeding and downstream equipment can be included for almost fully automatic production. Also available are production lines for candy coated gum and gum filled candy.

BUBBLE GUM PRODUCTION LINES

Our bubble gum production lines take raw gum masses from the mixer, cooled down ready to cut and wrap, and form endless bubble gum ropes. Different shaped ropes can be formed at speeds of 400kg/hr to 1,000kg/hr, depending on the model chosen. The bubble gum production lines consist of a KVE or KM series extruder and a cooling tunnel.

Lines can also be provided for the production of bubble gum balls, both solid and hollow, using a KVE-100 extruder with a special vertical die.

EXTRUDERS

In addition to complete production lines, Gabler can also supply individual machines such as extruders. The Gabler extruder range consists of:

* KM series extruders - twin-screw counter-rotating extruders
* KVE series extruders - single-screw extruders with infeed rollers
* Pre-extruders - twin-screw counter-rotating extruders (like KM-extruders) with an oversized hopper for feeding a complete mixer batch
* DE series extruders - twin-screw co-rotating extruders with self-cleaning screws

Please contact us to find the perfect extruder for your application.

ROLLING AND SCORING MACHINES

Rolling and scoring machines form scored chewing gum sheets on a continuously extruded carpet. They can produce sheets with a working width of up to 440mm and operate at capacities of up to 4,500kg/hr.

COOLING TUNNELS

Gabler cooling tunnels are available with single or multi-tier conveyor belts, housed in an isolated tunnel. Cooling is performed using chilled air and/or radiation, taking the product from approx. 40°C to 20°C. These cooling tunnels are primarily used for the continuous cooling of confectionery, mainly gum, during the forming process. The conveyor belts can be supplied up to 600mm wide and 120m long. Cooling capacity is up to 35kW (30,000kcal/hr).
