CIGNYS is an established supplier to OEM's of extruders and to inustries using the extrusion process. We manufacture screws for the polymer, food and other processing industries. Our screw design utilises highly accurate computer generated mathematical models which prove the screw designs before they are made. We also design and build a large range of extruder barrel and sleeve assemblies including single screw, twin screw and clam shell designs.
CIGNYS Advanced Materials Division - leading specialists in surface engineering and powder metallurgy to provide solutions to corrosion and wear problems in extruder barrel liners and screws. Cygnys has developed Sagittite, a nickel based metal matrix composite manufactured by a hot isostatic press process that transforms a proprietary mix of powdered metals into a hard corrosove resisitnat surface that CIGNYS machines to exacting tolerances.
